What does USDA Organic mean?

Our Inked Organics breads are USDA Certified Organic. USDA Certified Organic products are regulated and certified by the United States Department of Agriculture.

To achieve the USDA certification that you see on our label, our organic breads are made using ingredients that are free from pesticides or artificial fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Additionally, the Organic certification ensures products are processed without using ionizing radiation and do not contain food additives.

 

Fun Fact: Our chief miller baker’s family helped to usher in the organic foods movement in the 40s and 50s in the San Francisco Bay Area.
